New Board of Directors Announced at UEI
Tamiya’s Yasuyuki Maeda Joins UEI as “Chief Hobby Officer”
UEI (Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc., Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo; Ryo Shimizu, CEO) is please to announce its new board of directors, selected on June 21, 2-12. As of July 2 the board will be as follows.

Maeda earned his fame as designer of Tamiya, Inc.’s Mini 4WD system, gaining popularity as “Mae-chan” in appearances on various television appearances. He went on to design numerous successful marketing and design campaigns for Square (currently Square Enix), Rakuten, AQ Interactive (currently Marvelous AQL Inc.). He will use his extensive experience to promote a programming as a hobby, with enchant.js at its center.

Aihara has more than 10 years of experience in game business and development.
His goal is to create next-generation network games using enchant.js, presenting players new and exciting forms of entertainment.
Takayama oversaw internal systems auditing and construction for Asahi Mutual Life Insurance Co and the Asahi Life Asset Management Co. He will oversee UEI’s internal regulation systems management to ensure high-quality corporate governance.
enchant.js is an open source HTML5 game engine released by UEI on April 17, 2011. It is distributed with a dual MIT/GPL license and is cross platform, functioning on PC, Mac, Android, iPhone, and more. In addition to the main program, free images and sounds are also provided to enhance game development.
